Chester See is a god. Need I say more? Oh, I do need to say more? Well, when I was living on my own I got really into YouTube musicians and this is one of the songs I listened to most often. Just awesome.

Cartoon Week

I thought I'd have a little fun next week and make it themed! So, from the 17th to the 21st of February my daily songs will all have been featured in cartoons. It could be anything animated, so be prepared for some Disney, Family Guy or maybe even South Park. Also, to get the most out of the week, I'll be posting two songs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday because there's just so many songs to pick from. Enjoy ;)

Cher - I Hope You Find It

Another Cher song today. You'll soon find out I'm a massive Cher fan so I may as well tell you now - there'll be more to follow. This is a recent one, released just year. I think it's classic Cher with a slight twist and if you like Cher's other work you're sure to enjoy this.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall

Almost every time I go to see my friend Craig, he plays Pink Floyd. I'd never heard them before he introduced me to them and I'll never admit this to him but I actually rather like them. Another Brick in the Wall is just one of the songs of theirs I've been quite taken with recently. It sounds familiar, so I must have heard it when I was younger but I don't really remember it that well and I certainly didn't know it was a Pink Floyd song back then.

Pitbull ft. Ke$ha - Timber

Another pop song for you today. I've always loved country music and so I managed to get past the fact that both the artists on this song are utterly contemptible to me and just listened. It's nothing compared to any decent country song, but it made it to number 1 in the UK a few weeks ago so people seem to like it. I'm still on the fence but one thing I will say is some of the covers have been great.

Joel Faviere - If You Knew

I had a bit of a rough time in January and this song managed to cheer me up for a while. I don't know how, as it's one of the most depressing songs I've ever heard, but I still like it and thought I'd share it with everyone.

TryHardNinja - Take Back the Night

So, from time to time I'm going to geek out. It's inevitable. And today that comes in the form of a Minecraft song, "Take Back the Night". This is one of the more popular Minecraft songs, with over 31 million views. If you have never played Minecraft, play it now. It's the most awesome game ever.

Fleetwood Mac - Landslides

I'll be honest, the first time I heard this song was on Glee. But I've loved it ever since and it's another that I'll always sing along to. I couldn't find a decent video of the Fleetwood Mac version, so I've included the official video for the Dixie Chicks cover.

Cher - Walking in Memphis

A firm favourite of mine, Walking in Memphis is the only song that I never grow bored of. I can listen to it a dozen times in a row and still want to play it a thirteenth time. It's also the only song you'll ever hear me singing at a karaoke (unless of course I'm drunk, in which case I'll sing anything).

The Beetles - Here Comes the Sun

Who doesn't love the Beetles? They're a national treasure and have a huge catalogue of awesome songs, which makes it difficult to select just one to feature. However, Here Comes the Sun is one that I've loved for a long time and it's the only Beetles song featured in Glee that they didn't completely butcher! There's no official video for the song, so I've included a lyric video and a clip of Glee's rendition.

Chester See and the Cast of Side Effects - Bad Day

I always enjoy Chester See's covers but we don't get a lot of original work. This is an excellent song from the web series See stars in, Side Effects.

Roomie - Still Alive

I quite like Roomie and this is a great cover of the song Still Alive, from the video game Portal 2.

Walk Off The Earth - Somebody That I Used to Know

An exceptional cover of an awesome song. I just love this one :D

This has been a favourite of mine for a long time. I love the artist and the song!

Girls - Lust for Life

I came across this song earlier today and just loved it. It kind of reminds me of the music of the 90s, which I grew up listening too, and I really liked the lyrics. There's also a NSFW version of the video available out there with some rather explicit bits. Enjoy :)

I thought I'd start off my new music blog with a pop song. My taste in music is all over the place - I like all kinds of music and will give almost anything a listen so I thought it'd be best to start with something popular. Anyway, here's Katy Perry's Roar. It could be something that means something to me, a song that echoes how I'm feeling at the time or just a little ditty that caught my interest that day. I have a weird taste in music, and I like all different kinds of genres so there's gonna be stuff you like and stuff you can't stand but hopefully you'll enjoy reading and maybe this'll bring a little music to someone's life.
